Scholarship and Financial Aid
Always check to see if you are eligible for financial aid.
If you have studied the NCAA Student Athlete Handbook you realize there are a limited number of full athletic scholarships in every sport. These athletics-based scholarships must be renewed annually and the monetary amount of an athletic scholarship can change year-to-year based on your performance. They are awarded in a variety of amounts, ranging from full scholarships, to very small scholarships. Your athletic scholarship may only cover a small percentage of your college costs so it’s crucial to look for other types of aid.
Other types of aid available include:
Need Based Aid means that your family's financial resources, as measured by a
formula established by the federal government, are not enough to cover your
educational expenses.
Merit Based Aid can be earned based on your talents and skills in a variety of
areas: academic, leadership, extracurricular involvement, volunteering and more.
Academic Scholarships are grants, funds, or aid based on your talent in the
classroom.
